Conveyor Belt Safety Pulls Switches are designed to provide a switching mechanism that is capable of isolating a power to the drive station of a conveyor belt in an emergency condition. The cable pull switches are actuated by lanyard cable that interconnects a series of pull switches. This arrangement provides a continuous emergency tripping mechanism that is available at any point along the length of the conveyor. In the event of a cable being pulled, the pull switch trips and latches the trip thereby deenergizing the conveyor start contact via an electrical interlock. The mechanical latch may only be released at the respective pull switch via a reset knob. Each switch is double ended and thus provides a tripping mechanism on both sides of the switch. To ensure that the safety function of the system is not lost, an emergency stop signal is generated in the event of a break in the Blue Line cable. The integrated Audio and Visual indication provides trip and pre- start warning indication.
